New SEER Rating Requirements

The Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) is a measure of how efficient an air conditioning unit is when it operates and cools your indoor spaces. As of 2022, the standard recommendation with SEER ratings is at least 13 for air conditioners. The new regulations that go into effect in 2023 will require a 16 SEER unit.
